Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is excited to announce that the McLean County Senior Expo will return to the expansive Interstate Center and open its doors to over 80 vendors and 1,200 senior adult visitors on Wednesday, September 4th, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. The senior-friendly, handicap accessible Interstate Center provides visitors and vendors ample parking, comfortable space and voluminous seating on a single level. Once again, the McLean County Senior Expo is offering 1,000+ senior visitors free parking and shuttle service to the door, free admission, free games and contests, free Taste of the Expo food sampling, free prize giveaways that will continue during the day, and so much more. Returning to this year’s event will be the Classic Car Display, Heartland Bank and Trust Company Expo Bingo and Money Seat Seminars, Oglesby’s Photographic Arts Photo Booth, Silent Bingo, and the Expo’s newest offerings, "Lucky Number" and "Scoops for Hoops". The Calvert Cares Community Food Drive is again being offered, and every vendor or visitor who brings a non-perishable food item(s) will receive a Denny’s Doughnuts and Bakery free doughnut coupon, and entry into a $100 cash giveaway. Event Coordinator and Calvert Funeral Homes Public Relations Director Chad Sparks was thrilled with last year’s event, and he admitted that planning for the 2019 Expo had begun as early as last November. Said Sparks, “Our slogan, ‘Calvert cares about your family, Calvert cares about our community’ allows us no time to rest from our labors, and we see the tremendous responsibility to give back to both family and community daily.
