Angeline Strode Turner Lamon Memorial

The 8th Circuit Court and the members including the Honorable Judge David Davis and Abraham Lincoln, future president of the United States of America, gathered here at the burial site of Angeline Turner Lamon on April 14, 1859.  Angeline was the wife of Ward Hill Lamon (6 Jan 1828 - 7 May 1893) (Abraham Lincoln's bodyguard).  They were married March 17, 1850.
