Civil War Veterans Section
This plot in Section D commemorates those American military personnel who fought in the Civil War. This section is surrounded by foot-high concrete walls with cannon ball replicas stacked on top of each corner post. There are approximately 40 ground-level tombstones in the plot. About 50 feet away is a 6 foot monument in memory of the Civil War's "Unknown Dead and Those Who Sleep on Southern Battlefields". This monument was dedicated in 1904.
